About The Pilates Nurse

 Hi, I'm Jasmine Hartfield- a comprehensive certified Classical Pilates Instructor.  I am also a Registered Nurse with 13+ years of clinical experience ranging from cardiothoracic surgery, diabetes education, pre/postnatal wellness and registered nurse case management.

My mission is to help people feel strong, supported and empowered through intentional movement. I combine my clinical background with Pilates and nutrition guidance to encourage individuals and support them in their healing. I am passionate about preventing illness and promoting lifelong wellness.

Whether you're managing a chronic condition, recovering postpartum, or just want to move and feel better, I'm here to guide and support you with care, knowledge and heart. 





Home Studio Space

Welcome to a Pilates experience that's personal, peaceful and deeply intentional.  


My primary studio is nestled in the sunroom of my home- a bright, calming space bathed in natural light.  With two reformers and a space for four to five mat clients, this intimate setting is designed to support focused, small group and one on one sessions.  Surrounded by sunlight and nature, you'll feel grounded, cared for and completely present in your movement.

What exactly is Pilates?

Pilates originally named "CONTROLOGY is complete coordination of body, mind and spirit.  Through Contrology, you first purposefully acquire complete control of your own body and then, through proper REPITITION of its exercises, you gradually and progressively acquire that natural rhythm and coordination associated with your subconscious activities." - Joseph Pilates


The Pilates method offers more than just exercise.  The philosophy of Joseph Pilates encompasses total wellness, providing an outline for healthy living- not only the focus on the physical aspects.  In his books, "Your Health" (1934) and "Return to Life" (1945) Pilates shares his holistic approach which promoted a lifestyle of corrective exercise, mental discipline, proper nutrition, rest, sunshine and positive thinking.


Joseph Pilates suffered from asthma, rickets and rheumatic fever as a child.  He studied bodybuilding, gymnastics, yoga, martial arts, and animal movement to overcome the effects of his illness.
